ABOUT THE WORK

'Moons' is a hand-cut paper work by Kristina Krogh where the surface is carefully opened to form a light, floating shape. The small incisions break the plane of the paper, creating a subtle sense of movement in which light and shadow become active elements of the piece.
The expression shifts with its surroundings – from sharp, graphic structures to softer, almost dissolving forms. The work balances precision and organic flow, where repetition and variation create a quiet rhythm. The tactile quality and warmth of the paper stand in contrast to the structured system of cuts, inviting a sensory experience that changes depending on the viewer’s position and the direction of light.
