ABOUT THE WORK

This blind embossed artwork leaves only shape and shadow visible in an effort to draw the viewer closer. The blind emboss technique is made to create this relief, which is hand embossed on thick white textured cotton paper with deckled edges. The irregular edge gives the paper a softer, authentic feel.
The artwork reveals itself in a tone-on-tone raised relief, illuminated by the interplay of light and shadow. The clean, minimal impression appeals to both the visual and tactile senses.

*Arches uses no optical brighteners so its natural white colour will not yellow with age and archival value is ensured. The heavy mould-made cotton paper features a distinct textured surface in both look and feel.

Blind embossing stretches the paper and brings the paper to life. Due to the movement of the paper, each art print will have its own unique expression.
